The International Guitar Festival doesn't just bring global music to Zihuatanejo; it also sow a seed of musical passion in the next generation. This event gathers musicians from near and far, playing different styles, with a special focus on the guitar - an instrument you can find in every corner of the world.

What started back in 2004 as a series of intimate concerts at local small bars and restaurants, gradually blossomed into something bigger. Now, the artists, apart from playing a series of concerts; visit schools, share captivating musical demonstrations, and connect with students, and sometimes even invite them on stage to play their very first notes.

Plus, the festival strengthens its commitment every year through in-kind donations to various cultural projects for kids and youth, providing everything from chairs, guitars and other instruments, to audio equipment.
